An original, hand-coloured engraving from The Graphic, dated February 28, 1874. This image shows a mine rescuer in a new invention called the Aerophore Apparatus looking over some miners.  The page is approx. 28 x 40 cm ....12 x 16 inches in size, while the engravings are proportionally smaller.
