About The Artist

Carly Carte is a first-year student at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where she hopes to study Political Science with a concentration in Human Rights and Humanitarianism. She first started sewing when she was only six years old at In Stitches Sewing & Design Studio in Quincy, MA. Along with teaching sewing classes, she continues to pursue her love for sewing and fashion through thrifting and upcycling, as well as producing her own creations.


Carly taught herself to embroider with guidance from her mom, who she inherited all her creativity from. She hopes her pieces can give new life and beauty to the materials she uses, and to spread messages of positivity and sustainability. Learn more about Carly and see more of her work here.
