For sale here is an impregnated Orvis Battenkill bamboo rod. Eight feet with two sections and two tips. Serial no. 44126, made in 1966 by George Reid and Bill Young. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight. 

The rod features darkly tempered cane with caramel brown wraps. Blued guides and ferrules. The script remains clean and bold. U-shaped hook keeper. Cigar-style grip 5 3/4" in length with mild soiling and a slight bit of ridging. Aluminum down-locking reel seat. The ferrule fit is excellent. Labeled and actual weight is 4 3/8 oz. Medium-fast action. Though the rod is marked as a 7-8wt, we cast it and it is most certainly a 5-6wt. Includes the original bag and tube with blue and white paper label.
