German instrumental band Conic Rose, whose earlier singles have garnered support from Giles Peterson and At Jazz, is now ready to release their debut album! The album is packed with quality crossover sounds that fill the gap between jazz, post-rock, and chill-out! Conic Rose is a Berlin-based five-piece instrumental band. Johannes Alzberger on keyboards has played live and on recordings for many well-known artists including Sammy Deluxe. Trumpet player Konstantin Deven has been featured on the albums of Berlin's mellow groove newcomers Blue Step. The other members of the band are all top-notch players active in the local scene. The band will make its record debut in 2020. After a Jazz Montes compilation, the band emerged as a promising newcomer with support from Giles Peterson, At Jazz, Kid Vonk, Daz I Cue, Ian Friday, and others. This album, Heller Tag, is their first album.The singles M(2) "Gleisdreieck" and M(4) "Learn To Be Cool" have been aired on BBC radio and attracted attention from the British media. The melancholic downtempo title track "Heller Tag" and the slightly danceable M(8) "Fashionweek" are also nice and laid back. While the warm and soft tone is the foundation of the album, it integrates various elements such as jazz, post-rock, electronica, chill-out, minimal, and lo-fi hip-hop, while building its own world with an eclectic approach in the style of Jaga Jazzist and Two Rococo Lotto.
