The ART-3 provides a quick and easy way to check any antenna installation.

1. Connect the meter in"line with the antenna from the VHF.
2. Calibrate the meter.
3. View the VSWR reading.
5. If a high reading locate the problem.

Testing the receiver of the VHF utilises a built in tone generator. Set the radio on the VHF to Ch72 - if no tone can be heard this would indicate a problem with the radio itself. The unit is powered by an internal battery or can be connected to ships 12 VDC with the supplied power cable.
