The complete works of Bach's concertos for modern piano, now available to the world. Alena Cherny is a Ukrainian-born pianist. This is her first release for Sony Classical since her chamber music with clarinetist Fabio Di Cazolla and others, and her first solo album since 2013 with Bach's "Inventions and Sinfonias" and "For You," a collection of piano masterpieces that everyone knows. Cherny graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Kiev and completed a soloist program at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany. Currently based in Switzerland, he is active in performing and teaching widely in European countries, Israel, the United States and Asia. She has strong feelings for Fukushima, having experienced the atomic bombing of Chernobyl, and has visited Japan several times since the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 to give charity concerts and other events.
