The Perrin family, owner of Château De Beaucastel, have been winemakers in the Rhône valley for five generations. Their wines illustrate a strong knowledge and a deep attachment to these terroirs of exception.
Côtes du Rhône par Excellence. Fruity and fleshy with beautiful tannins, its a great everyday wine.
The Vintage 2021 is a vintage marked by freshness, similar to the vintages from the eighties and nineties. It is a winegrower vintage, where human intervention and care given to the vines were decisive for quality.
Location: This wine is a blend of Grenache (mainly from the Prébois vineyard in Orange), Syrah from Vinsobres, and Mourvèdre.
Terroir: The vineyard of Prébois has clayey limestone soils covered with stones. In Vinsobres the terraces are rich in quartz and marl limestone.
Vinification: The harvest date is determined by checking the ripeness of the grapes. The grapes are sorted and destemmed, fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, extracted by pumping over. After racking and malolactic fermentation, the wines are aged for a year in oak barrels and stainless steel vats.
Varietals: Grenache 40%, Mourvèdre 40%, Syrah 20%
Green Practices: Organic Practicing
Tasting Notes: Beautiful intense and deep red colour with purple reflections. Powerful nose with toasted notes, undergrowth, mushrooms, and kirsch aromas. On the palate, elegant with fine tannins balancing opulent black fruit and Syrah spices with a long finish.
Serving Suggestions: Serve at 18°C with beef, lamb or poultry.
