Description:
Christian Macelaru, born in Romania in 1980, is a young rising star who is steadily building his career, and will become Music Director of the Orchestre National de France in the 2020/2021 season. His first recording is a new and rich symphonic cycle, a release to commemorate the centenary of Saint-Saëns' death in December 1921, with five symphonies (Nos. 1, 2, 3, the early A-major symphony and the F-major symphony "Roma"), conducted by Christian Macelaru. Rome"). were composed for the competition. These compositions span a period of 35 years, with the "Symphony in F major" dating back to around 1850, when he was 15 years old, and the "Symphony No. 3" premiered in 1886. One of Saint-Saëns' grandest and most iconic works, the "Symphony No. 3" has been given a flourish in this new recording by Olivier Latry, the regular organist at Notre-Dame de Paris since 1985.(1/2) Warner Music Japan
