Los fotógrafos son muy buenos en las imágenes que hacen, pero a menudo carecen de la capacidad de comunicar sobre ellas y sobre sí mismos como artistas. Ser el autor o el promotor de tu trabajo son dos habilidades completamente diferentes. Durante este taller, Kessels explicará a los participantes cómo editar, presentar y comunicar mejor su propio trabajo a clientes, galerías, conservadores y museos. Además, se profundizará en la forma personal de trabajar de los participantes.

Photographers are very good in the images they make but often lack the ability to communicate about them and themselves as artists. Being the author or the promoter of your work are two completely different skills. During this workshop Kessels will be interacting with the participants how to better edit, present and communicate about your own work towards clients, galleries, curators and museums. Apart from this there will be also an inside into the personal way of working of the participants.
Over a period of several online meetings, Erik Kessels will prepare the participants for their possibilities and obstructions they will face in their professional career in the field of photography. Participants work on several small briefs to get more known to this facet of photography.
On a more practical note, preparations for budgets, job processes and decision making will pass by in the lessons.

Erik Kessels es un artista, curador y diseñador de comunicación, editor y redactor holandés, con gran interés por el arte y la fotografía. Desde 1996, Erik Kessels es socio creativo de la agencia de comunicación KesselsKramer. Como artista y curador, Kessels ha publicado más de 100 libros con sus imágenes "reapropiadas" y ha escrito los bestsellers internacionales Failed It! y Complete Amateur.
Ha impartido clases en varias Academias de Arte (Ámsterdam, Milán, Toronto, Lausana, Düsseldorf). Kessels ha realizado y comisariado exposiciones como Loving Your Pictures, Mother Nature, 24HRS in Photos, Album Beauty y Unfinished Father.
Erik Kessels is a Dutch artist, curator and communication designer, editor and publisher, with great interest in art and photography.
